No swiping or chatting
This isn't a dating app or another friend-making app. It just makes saying hello to the people around you normal again. Once you're matched there is one thing left to do — walk over and say it. No match to unmatch, and no chat left hanging if it goes nowhere.

No profiles
No profile picture, no bio to keep updated. min simply learns about you and keeps that memory on your device. Nobody is sorted by their face, and there is no profile for us to sell — because there is no profile.

No feed
We want you socialising out there, not scrolling to watch other people do it. Our business model is the opposite of the usual one: we make money when you get off your phone, not by maximising your screen time. The app is meant to be boring to hold.

Is min a dating app?
No. We usually say that min is a "social lubricant" app — meaning its only goal is to make saying hello to people around you easier. What the relationship becomes after that — a friend, a running group, or a date — that's up to the two of you.
How is min different from Meetup, Bumble BFF or other friend apps?
min is not a friend app either. There is no profile to build, nothing to swipe and no group chat to keep alive. You talk to min, min introduces you to one person nearby, and if you both accept, you walk over and say hello.
What does min actually store about me?
The conversation you have with min is used by min to tune your memory shape — then deleted. Your memory shape is only stored on your phone. During matching, it sends an anonymized version of your memory to find the right person, then is disposed. We don't sell your private data because we literally don't have access to it.
Can people find me on this? Is it safe?
There's no search, no profiles to browse and no followers. min acts as the intermediary that maintains each user's anonymity until an introduction is mutually accepted. Also, the meeting only happens in a public, populated area — and there is always a smooth option to back out of the meeting at any time. On top of our design for safety, people tend to behave in a civilized manner when they are socializing IRL.
Does it cost money?
The basic use of talking to min and getting introductions from min are free forever. We are planning a subscription to give users more control over when and who they get introduced to, as well as curated group events — but the price is not yet determined.
